Important Notice: Due to major transportation incidents, please note all the Green Hub Open Day programmes on 17 November will be cancelled. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience.

Living in Harmony with Nature and Tradion' is the theme of the open day in November. Activities include: demonstration of fishing net weaving, traditional rice pudding making, book sharing, music performance, thematic tours and Co-op Market.

Whole Day Booth: Simple & Fun Life

1) Pot Planting Demonstration
As long as there is enough sunlight, we can grow food at home and witness the whole growing process of food from seedling to fruiting. The booth will demonstrate and explain the techniques of plants transplants, sharing the environmental factors of planting organic herbs or vegetables at home.

 

2) Create Your Own Blend of Masala Tea
Nothing can beat a warm cup of Masala tea in cool weather, it can warm your stomach and soothe your mind. In this booth, you can create your own blend of Masala tea with various spices.

 

3) Slow Living: Second-hand Book Selling
Second-hand books hold an unprecedented amount of knowledge and memories waiting patiently to be discovered; like an exotic gem, it waits for its next reader as it passes through stories and memories from one owner to another. Second-hand books will be available for sale weekly, regarding themes of sustainable life, environmental protection, body and mind.

 

Heritage Tour: History of Tai Po and Eco-heritage Conservation

Guided Tour at Green Hub

The tour follows the Heritage Trail, with a guide pointing out the key architectural and ecological points of interest and narrating the story of the Old Tai Po Police station.

Enchanted Garden Tour

This 15-min tour at the Enchanted Garden of the Green Hub shows how the courtyard was transformed from a concrete area filled by ugly structures to a garden that enhances the living environment for people and wildlife. The tour will include a visit to a guestroom of the Green Hub, which is facing the Enchanted Garden.
