Nature / Objective

This seminar explores the numerous ways individuals, communities, developers and governments are making cities better places to live, building community resilience, and improving the urban environment by food production, energy efficiency and ecological design.

About Robyn Francis


Robyn Francis is an internationally renowned permaculture pioneer, educator and designer, founder of Djanbung Gardens, Australia, and the Permaculture College Australia, and is regarded as one of permaculture’s most experienced trainers and practitioners. Over the past 25 years Robyn has been working for a sustainable future, empowering thousands of people through training, design and consulting on diverse projects, facilitating community initiatives and giving many voluntary hours to the national and international permaculture movement. She has taught over 130 Permaculture Design Certificate courses (PDCs) in fifteen countries, and as many advanced courses in diverse areas of professional permaculture practices including: Teacher Training; Community Facilitation; Ecovillage Design; Sustainable Aid and Development; Social Permaculture; Design for Food Security & Year-round Food Production.
