Vegan Cheese Cookery Class

Carbon dioxide emissions are linked to energy and resource use. Major sources of carbon dioxide emissions from the dairy chain are related to land, water and energy use on the farm, and post-farm processing and distribution of milk and dairy products. Typically, it takes about 10L of milk to make one kilogram of cheese. This cooking class covers three different kinds of vegan cheese, including vegan feta cheese, cashew soft cream cheese spread and vegan parmesan cheese powder. Participants will learn the cooking skills and applications of vegan cheese. Participants will also harvest their favorite herbs from the Green Hub's Kitchen Garden as ingredients. This class is suitable for people who are lactose-intolerant. Please bring a 400ml container to pack a portion of vegan parmesan cheese powder and 200g organic vegan feta cheese to take home. During the class, tutor will share the environmental, health and animal rights issues that are related to industrial milk production.

The class will be taught in Cantonese.

**Please note the Vaccine Pass requirements are applicable to the Green Hub.
