Nature / Objectives
Farming within a city landscape can play an important role in enhancing food security combined with the joyful experience of producing delicious food. This 3-day course has been designed to promote understanding of the potentials of city farming and to provide the basic skills for growing one's own food in a sustainable way.


  • Concept of Peak Oil, Climate Change and Food System
  • Permaculture Principles
  • Design of a Community Garden
  • Site visit of KFBG's sustainable farming practice
    - Soil conservation and No-Dig Garden
    - Seasonal crop planting
    - Compost and Organic Waste Recovery
    - Pest Control
    - Nursery and Container Garden
    - Basic Farming Technique
    - Realize models of community supported agriculture

Target Group / No. of Participants
Age: 18 or above / Course size: 25 person (first come first served)
