Green Hub has transformed the Staff Quarters of the Old Tai Po Police Station into two Folk Art workshops where regular workshops are held for members of the public to learn practical skills and appreciate traditional knowledge for sustainable living.
The Folk Art workshops use basic tools and equipment to support the 'Community-Supported Soap Making' and 'Community-Supported Sewing' programmes.
Regular workshops are organized for members of the public to learn how to make daily utensils that are more friendly to people and nature.
By sharing resources and working together, good quality products become more accessible and affordable for everyone. More importantly, in these workshops individuals learn practical skills and make a network of new friends who have a common interest. These are important resources for building community resilience, to further transition to sustainable living.
